Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (CATUS) demands that the minimum wage be increased, starting with June wage and amounting to 50,299RSD (430EUR), i.e. 289 RSD per a working hour. This was proposed by the CATUS negotiating team for determining minimum cost of labour, which is based on the trade union initiative of March 28, 2023 that was sent to the Social-Economic Council (SEC) of the Republic of Serbia.
CATUS representatives pointed out that there were significant changes regarding the elements used in determining minimum cost of labour, which are in line with the Article 112 par.3 of the Labour Law, and refer to the increase of consumer prices and minimum consumer basket. Trade union proposal is a follow-up to an already made agreement of social partners to put the minimum wage on a par with minimum consumer basket, the last one being officially published in February 2023 (430EUR). This proposal for determining new minimum cost of labour for 2023 will be sent to the SEC of the Republic of Serbia.
