On 31st October a conference was held via Zoom platform to kickstart the new project named TUDO, in which CATUS will participate as a partner. The project involves the digitalization of trade unions to enhance their effectiveness in the new digital work environment and will be realized in partnership with trade union confederations from: Poland – OPZZ, Hungary – MASZSZ, Italy – CGIL, Spain – F1M, Malta – GWU, Slovenia – ZSSS, and Turkey – DISK. Associates will be ETUC, EUROCADRES and Cartel-ALFA from Romania. Project is supposed to contribute to the exchange of information and good practice in the application of the European social partners’ Framework Agreement on Digitalization and to the role and influence that social dialogue has on the digital transformation in the EU member states and candidate countries. Project is aimed at assessing the harmonization of the existing national regulations with the Framework Agreement on Digitalization and contributing to the understanding of challenges presented before the workers and trade unions in the world of work, who are significantly affected by the digitalization processes. The plan is to create a network of trade union digitalization officers for effective trade unions in the new digital world of work.
