These talks will focus on workers’ and current social problems in Serbia while protests are not planned. As the Secretary Zoran Mihajlović has announced, the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (CATUS) will mark May 1 not only in Belgrade, but in several other cities of Serbia. “Besides Belgrade, there will be manifestations in Subotica, Kruševac, Čačak and other cities, where workers’ gatherings will be organized,” he said. The manifestation in Belgrade, entitled “Let’s unite in the fight for workers’ rights” will be held at Ada Ciganlija, near the tower and will start at 11 a.m. Trade unionists will talk to the citizens about the importance of being a trade union member, labour market perspective, pension policy, amendments to the Labour Law and protection of workers’ rights.
