In order to protect employees’ health and safety, at the Presidency session of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia, held on July 24, 2024, an initiative to urgently amend the Law on Occupational Health and Safety was sent to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and Social-Economic Council of the Republic of Serbia.
The goal of the initiative is to incorporate mandatory measures into the law so that the protection of workers’ health and safety, especially of those working in the open at high temperature, would be guaranteed. Apart from the Law on Occupational Health and Safety, the measures also need to be included into relevant decrees and rulebooks so that safe and healthy conditions for work in the open could be obtained.
